Five unfamiliar understudies harmed in horde assault at Gujarat College: Police

Ahmedabad: Five far off public understudies learning at Gujarat College experienced extreme wounds following a late-night fight at the grounds, police said.

The occurrence occurred at Block A lodging where the unfamiliar understudies dwell, said police.


A few visuals shared via web-based entertainment showed a gathering pelting stones in the lodging and vandalizing bicycles. No less than five vehicles were harmed in the episode.


Ahmedabad city extra magistrate of police (ACP) (wrongdoing) Neerajkumar Badgujar said that a first data report (FIR) has been recorded and guaranteed that the aggressors will be captured soon.


Addressing the correspondents, Ahmedabad magistrate of police GS Malik said, "Around 300 unfamiliar understudies concentrate on in Gujarat College, and 75 unfamiliar understudies stay in A Block (Lodging). Recently, around 10:30pm, a gathering of understudies were offering namaz. Around 20-25 individuals came and asked them for what valid reason they were offering namaz here and ought to peruse it in the masjid. A contention broke out between them, stones were pelted, and their rooms were vandalized by individuals who came from outside… "


Malik said that the police made a quick move, and a FIR has been enlisted against 20-25 individuals. The understudy guaranteed that the police arrived at there after the gatecrashers escaped the spot.


Gujarat home priest Brutal Sanghavi has gathered a pressing gathering with senior authorities, including the chief general of police (DGP) of Gujarat Police and the joint magistrate of police (JCP) of the wrongdoing branch to address the matter, said an authority.
